How to Upgrade the Software for the Garmin Nuvi 200W

The device helps guide you by using Garmin map software, which can be upgraded periodically as streets and directions change.

Instructions

1. Check which map version you have downloaded onto the software of your Garmin Nuvi 200W. Touch the "Tools" option and then select "Settings" and "Map." Touch "Map Info" to view the software.

2. Visit the product page for the Garmin Nuvi 200W, located in the Resources section below.

3. Click on the "Maps" tab and select "View map updates for this product."

4. Click on the map options that will upgrade the software on your device. Use the current map version you found in Step 1 to guide you.

5. Download the WebUpdater when prompted. Allow the program to install on your computer. It will be necessary to upgrade the software on your Garmin Nuvi 200W.

6. Plug your Garmin Nuvi 200W into your computer once the WebUpdater has finished installing. Use the USB cable that came with your device to connect it to your computer. The software will be automatically upgraded by the WebUpdater program.
