How to Open GPSMAP 76 in a Garmin GPS

Featuring a hunting and fishing calender, information on the sun and moon and tide tables, Garmin's GPSMap 76 software package provides you with mobile navigational information and allows you to save up to 10,000 way points. Using your Garmin Interface cable and PC, you can download and open Garmin's GPSMap 76 quickly.

Instructions

1. Go online to Garmin's GPSMap 76 download page and click the "Download" link. Save the file to your desktop.

2. Double-click the file saved on your desktop. Allow the file to be saved in an automatically created folder called "C:\Garmin." Click "Un-zip."

3. Click "Start," "My Computer." Double-click "C:\Garmin" and then double-click the file called "Updater."

4. Insert the small end of the Garmin PC interface cable into your device and the USB adapter end into your computer.

5. Activate your GPS device and click the "Ok" button in the "Updater" dialog window to load GPSMap 76 onto your device. When the process is finished, press the "Power" button to open GPSMap 76 on your Garmin device.
