How Do I Make a Toshiba Wireless MiniPC Work?
Toshiba mini notebooks are light and compact laptops with a 10.1-inch screen and up to 11 hours of battery life. They are no longer manufactured by Toshiba and are unlikely to be available to buy as new from electrical retailers or online, as of November 2010. They shipped with Windows XP and are as easy to use as any other PC running the same operating system.

1
Plug one end of the power cable into your Toshiba mini notebook and the other into the main power supply.
-
2
Hold down the "0" key while powering on the laptop. You're going to restore the machine's factory settings. If the computer has come to you second hand, it's a good idea to wipe the hard disk and start with a clean slate. This should iron out any issues with the operating system. A warning screen will appear asking if you want to format your disk.

3
Click "Yes."
-
4
Select "Recovery of factory default software" and then click on "Next."
-
5
Select "Recover to out-of-box state" and then follow the instructions to format the disk. The laptop will restart when the process is complete.

6
Set up your operating system. The setup wizard will launch after the computer has rebooted. Follow the on-screen instructions to accept Microsoft's end-user terms and conditions, and personalize your laptop by naming it and selecting language and timezones.
-
7
Choose how your laptop will connect to the Internet. If you're using a wireless network, it will search for a signal. The computer will restart at the end of this process.
-
8
Open a program or web browser and start to use your laptop.
