How to Troubleshoot a Titan 200 Paper Cutter
Challenge Machinery's Titan 200 Paper Cutting Machine is a programmable electronic paper cutter manufactured for use in schools and offices. Because the device is electronic, it cuts paper faster and more precisely than atraditional manual paper cutter. If you experience a malfunction with the Titan 200, before seeking professional help or replacing it, try a few of the device's simple troubleshooting techniques.

Machine Won't Start

Check the "Main Power" switch. If it is off, turn it on.

Check the power cord for disconnection or obstruction if the device still won't turn on.

Remove obstruction from the power cord if there is one, or reconnect the cord if it's unplugged.
Won't Cut When Cut Button is Pushed

Check the main relief valve. If it is off, turn it on.

Check the cylinder bracket to ensure that the cylinder is connected to it. If it isn't, reconnect it.

Check the hydraulic to ensure there is no dirt or obstruction preventing it from moving. If there is, remove the obstruction or wipe away the dirt with a damp cloth.

Check to make sure hydraulic liquid levels aren't low. If they are, refill them (see section 4.5.1 of the user manual).
Crooked or Inaccurate Cutting

Check the paper supply to ensure it is not clamped to tight.

Lower the clamp pressure setting if the paper appears to be too tightly clamped.

Inspect the knife for dullness; if it appears to be dull it must be replaced. Contact the dealer you purchased the machine from to purchase a replacement knife.
