How to Track a FedEx Ground Package
If you ship packages with FedEx Ground or you're expecting packages to arrive at your house, you may want to track them so you know when they will arrive. FedEx provides a tracking number with every order that lets you track outgoing or incoming packages. You can track packages by their tracking number, order number or reference. FedEx will also send you tracking information via email.

Tracking With a Tracking Number

Visit the FedEx tracking website. The link is in this article's Resources section.

Enter your package's tracking, door tag or company order number in the provided text box. You were given one of the three numbers by FedEx if you shipped a package, or by the shipping company if you're receiving a package. You can enter up to 30 tracking, door tag and company order numbers. Click "Enter" after each number.

Click "Track." Your shipment information, including the progress of your shipment, will appear.
Tracking by Reference

Visit the FedEx tracking website and click "Track by Reference."

Enter the references assigned by the shipper to each package. If the shipper included any references, they are typically included with your confirmation email or letter from shipper.

Enter the account number associated with the shipper. If you do not know the number, you must enter the shipping date, destination country and destination ZIP code or other postal code.

Click "Track." Your shipment information will appear, and you can check the progress and estimated arrival date of each package.
Tracking by Email

Compose a new email. Type Track@fedex.com in the "To" section. You do not need to enter anything in the "Subject" field.

Enter up to 30 tracking or order numbers in the body of the email. Separate each tracking and order number with either a comma or by pressing "Enter" after each number. Click "Send." If you are using a reference instead of a tracking or order number, you must enter the account number, followed by each reference number, up to a total of 30. You cannot include more than one account number per email. Separate the account number and each reference with either a comma or by pressing "Enter" on your keyboard after each number.

Check your email. FedEx will send you a return email with your shipment information almost instantaneously if you entered the information correctly.
