How to Find a Bold Word in Word

The program also includes powerful Find and Replace features that allow you to search for words or symbols associated with specific types of formatting. Once you understand the proper commands, finding a bold word in Microsoft Word requires just a few clicks.

      Click once on the first line of your Word document.

      Press the "Ctrl" and "F" keys simultaneously. The Find and Replace dialog box appears on your screen immediately.

      Click in the "Find what" field.

      Press the "Ctrl" and "B" keys simultaneously. The label "Font: Bold" appears directly below the field.

      Enter in the "Find what" field the bold word you want to search for. To search for any bold word in your document, leave this field blank.

      Click the "Find Next" button near the bottom of the dialog box to run your search.
