How to Remote Access a Telus Gigaset Router

Remotely accessing a Telus Gigaset computer router means that you're accessing the settings utility on the router to adjust its current configuration. Though your router will be physically connected to one of your computers via an Ethernet cable, you don't actually need to be using that computer to access the router. You can do so from any of the computers connected to your home network using a Web browser.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Web browser on any of the computers connected to the network that is being created by your Telus Gigaset router.

    • 2

Type "192.168.1.1" into the Web browser's address bar. Tap the "Enter" key on your keyboard. This will load the router's administrator login page.

    • 3

Type your user-specified user name and password into the appropriately labeled boxes. If you have never entered this configuration utility before, leave the "user name" section of the window blank, and type "admin" (minus quotes) into the "password" box.

    • 4

Click "OK." You can now remotely access your Telus Gigaset computer router.
