1
Remove the chamber from the weed trimmer. Each model will be slightly different. Most chambers snap in and have release clips that need to be pushed. Some models may have areas that need to be unscrewed prior to accessing the chamber itself.
-
2
Clean the chamber of any dirt or debris. Cleaning this now will help make sure the new line does not tangle or fray while inside the chamber.

3
Feed 1/2 inch of new line into the small hole of the chamber. This hole will hold the line in place while spooling. The spool should have a directional arrow showing in which direction the line should be spooled. Fill the chamber with new line. The line should fill the entire depth of the chamber.
-
4
Insert the loose end of the line through the hole on the chamber to expose it for cutting. This is where the line will be fed through as needed when using the weed trimmer.
-
5
Put the spool back onto the weed trimmer. Depending on your model, it may simply snap back into place or have to be screwed back on.
