How to Reset Password in Viewsat Extreme

A Viewsat Extreme satellite receiver hooks up to the television and provides TV.

A Viewsat Extreme satellite receiver allows you to set a password or PIN code. This code is used to change desired settings, such as parental controls. The factory default PIN is 0000. If you wish to change this code to your own, it can be done using the Viewsat Extreme remote control.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" button on the Viewsat Extreme remote control to access the main menu.

2. Push the "Up" and "Down" buttons to scroll through the menu options. Stop when "User Settings" is highlighted. Press "OK" to select this option. You will be prompted to input your PIN or password. If a password or pin is already set, enter that PIN. If one is not set, use the default PIN of "0000."

3. Scroll and select "Parental Control," followed by "Change PIN Code."

4. Enter the desired four-digit PIN. Press "OK." The screen will prompt you to re-enter the desired PIN code a second time. If the codes match, you will be taken to the main menu and the code has been reset. If the codes don't match, you will be promoted to again re-enter the desired PIN.
