How to Use a Black & Decker Tri-Ratchet

Black & Decker has come up with an innovative tool that combines versatility and functionality in one kit. The Tri-Ratchet kit functions as a conventional ratchet, a screw driver and as a right-angled adapter. The Tri-Ratchet is useful for working in tight spots and corners since the handle can be rotated. It is versatile enough to replace a socket wrench, a hex key, a Phillip's screwdriver and a flat-head screw driver in your tool box. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Black & Decker Drive Ratchet Tri-Ratchet kit. The kit includes a Tri-Ratchet Drive, four-piece socket set, five drill bits and 10 screwdriver bits.

    • 2

Attach any socket of the socket set to the Tri-Ratchet drive and the Tri-Ratchet can be used as a conventional socket wrench. The Tri-Ratchet can tighten or loosen any bolt that will fit the socket set.

    • 3

Attach the smallest size socket to the Tri-Ratchet. The smallest sized socket is used as an adapter for the screw driver and drill bits. The screw driver bits allow the Tri-Ratchet to be used as a hex key, a Phillip's screwdriver and a flat-head screw driver.

    • 4

Rotate the Tri-Ratchet's handle to tighten or loosen any screw or bolt without the need to swing the Tri-Ratchet. Rotating the Tri-Ratchet's handle allow you to use the tool in tight spots or corners where conventional ratchets or screwdrivers would not fit.

    • 5

Remove the Tri-Ratchet's handle by pulling it off and exposing the hex shaft on the Tri-Ratchet's end. Connect the Tri-Ratchet to an electric drill via the hex shaft and the Tri-Ratchet can be used as a right angled adapter either for drilling or as a screwdriver with the appropriate fittings.
