Like most vehicles on the market today, Nissan Muranos come with factory tint film already applied to the windows. The tint percentage may not be exactly what you want, which requires you to remove the tint in order to re-apply a darker shade to the windows. This project requires patience and an open schedule to complete; however, you will be able to apply new tint to the windows in less than a day.

Spray ammonia directly on the film inside the car and cover the window with the second black garbage bag section. Let the window sit in the sunlight for two to three hours to soak up the heat.
3
Repeat steps one and two for every window with tint on your Nissan Murano.
4
Peel off the garbage bags and begin scraping away the tint film from the top edge using your finger nail. Remove all sections of the window tint that you can. There will be smaller sections and pieces from the bottom layer of tint left behind.
5
Scrape away any large sections that remain on the window using a razor blade. Spray with soapy water during this process to keep the area moist.
6
Soak the window thoroughly and scrub clean with a super-fine steel wool scrub. This will lift up any adhesive left on the surface. Wipe window clean with glass cleaner and paper towels, then begin applying new tint.
7
Repeat steps four through six for each window on your Nissan Murano.
