How to Wash a Waterproof Mattress Cover from Knox Foam

Knox Foam is company based out of Knoxville, Tennessee, that sells mattress products, such as waterproof mattress covers. A waterproof mattress cover is especially useful for children who wet the bed or older adults who are not able to make it to the bathroom in time. Waterproof mattress covers protect the mattress underneath from being ruined by bodily fluids, such as urine. Knox Foam waterproof mattress covers can be laundered easily.

Things You'll Need

• Laundry detergent
• Washing machine

Instructions

Top-Loading Washer

1. Fill the washing machine with warm water and 1/3 cup of laundry detergent.

2. Place the Knox Foam waterproof mattress cover into the washing machine and push it down so that the water submerges it.

3. Set the washing machine to a gentle cycle and start the machine.

4. Remove the Knox Foam waterproof mattress cover from the washing machine once the cycle is finished.

5. Hang it up to dry.

Front-Loading Washer

1. Place the Knox Foam waterproof mattress cover into the washing machine and close the washing machine's door.

2. Add 1/3 cup of laundry detergent to the detergent dispenser on the top of the washing machine.

3. Turn the washing machine on to a gentle cycle with warm water and turn it on. The detergent will be released from the dispenser as the machine fills with water in most cases.

4. Remove the Knox Foam mattress cover from the washing machine and hang it up to dry once the cycle is done.
