How to Make Organic Fruit Tree Spray
Fruit trees take a lot of work to care for and maintain, so the last thing you want is bugs to infest the tree and damage the leaves or eat the fruit. Many gardeners who prefer not to use any toxic chemicals when they spray their fruit trees use homemade organic sprays. The sprays work just as well and, in many cases, are more cost-efficient as well. Does this Spark an idea?

Add 1 cup of any pure tobacco (chewing or pipe tobacco) into a bucket.

Pour 1 gallon of water to the mixture and allow it to steep for 24 hours.

Remove the tobacco bits with a strainer and pour the mixture into a garden sprayer.

Spray down your entire fruit tree thoroughly. You will need to re-spray the tree after any rainfall.

I was just reading about making a organic fruit tree spray mixing a cup of tobacco with a gallon of water, letting in sit 24 hrs, straining, and then spraying the entire tree with this mixture and respraying after rainfall. Has anyone out there tried this? I'm not a fanatic about chemicals but I would like to not use them whenever possible and practical.
