How to Configure Cisco ASA 5505
The Cisco ASA 5505 security device performs many functions found on hardware firewalls. It will stop attacks before they penetrate the network perimeter. It will protect resources and data as well as voice, video and multimedia traffic. It can control network and application activity, and reduce deployment and operational costs. The default configuration that ships with the adaptive security appliance is sufficient for your basic distribution. However, you can modify the default configuration to suit your own security needs. You can use the Adaptive Security Device Manager, or ASDM, to modify the configuration.
