Connecting the battery or batteries to your RV is simple and can be done two ways: parallel and series. Parallel is needed to double the power that the batteries put out for use in larger RV's with a lot more electronics, and series pulls equal power from both batteries but allows the batteries to run for much longer. Both of these ways are effective and safe.

Parallel

Step 1

Connect a wire to the positive connection on one of the RV batteries. Connect the opposite end of that wire to the positive connection on the other battery.

Step 2

Connect a wire to the negative connection on one of the batteries. Connect the opposite end of that wire to the other battery's negative connection.

Step 3

Connect a wire to the positive connection on the lead battery and then connect the opposite end of the wire to the connection on the RV. Repeat for the negative connection.

Series

Step 1

Connect a wire to the positive connection on one battery. Lead the opposite end of the wire to the negative connection on the other battery.

Step 2

Connect a wire to the positive connection on the battery with the wire connected to the negative connection. Connect a wire to the negative connection on the battery with the wire connected to the positive connection.

Step 3

Connect the end of the positive wire to the RV's positive input and connect the negative wire to the RV's negative connection.
