Instructions

    • 1

Set the margin depth using the knob on the left-hand side of the machine. This knob lets you set the margin to 1/8, 1/4 or 1/2 inch from the edge. If you use a small binding comb, use the smallest margin. For larger combs, use the 1/4- or 1/2-inch setting.

    • 2

Place the material you want bound on a flat surface with the top and bottom covers in the correct location on the material.

    • 3

Pick up eight sheets at a time and slide them into the cutting area. The cutting area is located under the big rectangular section with the teeth poking up. Slide the paper into the opening between the big rectangular section and the large, flat surface on the bottom.

    • 4

Line up the paper with the black guide tab on the left side. Once the paper edges are lined up, pull down on the lever on the right side.

    • 5

Push the lever back up and slide the paper out the cutter. The holes the machine cut in the paper fit the teeth on top of the system. Sit the paper to the side and finish cutting all of the paper. Stack the paper in order as you cut the holes.

    • 6

Slide the wire or plastic comb onto the teeth with the open edge of the comb facing you. Pull the arm on the right side down until the comb opens.

    • 7

Bind plastic comb books by placing the papers onto the teeth of the open comb. Push the arm on the right side of the binder back up and remove the finished book.

    • 8

Bind wire comb books by moving the arm down slowly until the wire closes completely. Make sure the wire is totally closed before lifting the arm.
