How do I Turn the Heat on in a 1990 Volkswagen Vanagon?

The Volkswagen Vanagon is a van manufactured between the years of 1979 and 1992. To work the vents and other parts of the vehicle, you may need to consult the owner's manual. Since the vehicle is no longer sold, the owner's manual has to be custom ordered from Volkswagen. If you need to turn on the heat in the 1990 Volkswagen Vanagon, you need to know the proper way to turn the vent knobs and which knobs to operate.

Instructions

1. Locate the vent controls in the middle of the dashboard.

2. Locate the four levers in the center of the vent control assembly.

3. Locate the red dot on the vent controls. The red dot indicates heat.

4. Move the second lever from the top to the right and towards the dot to increase the heat.

5. Locate the two dials on the vent control system. Turn the dial on the left-side of the vent control to the right to increase the heat in the rear of the van.

6. Turn the dial on the right of the vent control to the right to increase the heat in the front of the van.
