Paslode Cordless Nailer Cleaning Instructions
A Paslode cordless nailer is a type of handheld power nailer that works quickly and effectively at placing nails into surfaces. The benefit of the cordless nailer is that it is portable and does not require an electrical outlet. When the nailer is used, it can become filled with dust and other debris that can clog the motor and other parts of the nailer. For best results with the nailer, it is best to clean the nailer at the end of every use to extend the life of the machine. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 5/23 hex wrench
- Flathead screwdriver
- Degreasing cleaner spray
- Soft cloths
- Lubricating oil

Remove the handle magazine from the handle of the Paslode nailer by removing the screws holding the magazine in place with the hex wrench. Set the screws aside and lay the handle magazine aside as well. Remove the cap on the handle magazine by unscrewing the four screws holding the cap in place with the hex wrench. Gently separate the handle assembly from the motor assembly.

Pop the grille and air filter off of the back of the nailer with the flathead screwdriver. Spray these items with the cleaner spray and wipe clean with a soft cloth. If the filter is extremely dirty, you can rinse it in warm, soapy water until clean.

Spray the cylinder head of the handle piece with the cleaner. Allow the dirt and grease to drip off onto a soft cloth. Do not allow the spray to get inside the handle. Wipe the area down with a soft cloth to remove all dirt residue.

Lubricate the seal rings inside the cylinder head with the lubricating oil.

Push the piston assembly into the "Down" position on the motor assembly. Spray the cleaner into the sleeve and combustion chamber. Turn the motor upside down and allow the cleaner to drip onto a soft cloth.

Place a few drops of oil onto the sleeve and combustion chamber. Rotate the two parts of the motor to lubricate the entire inside of the motor. Reattach the two pieces and screw back into place.
