Give your friends a Kindle book.

Books make great gifts and many people have added e-readers or free e-book reading applications to their bookshelves or computer desktop. They hold thousands of books in one convenient place and are easier to carry around than paper books. As of November 2010, Amazon has made it possible to give e-books as gifts. To receive the book, the recipient doesn't even need a Kindle, just a free Kindle application for their computer, phone or iPod/iPad.

Instructions

  1. Amazon Account

      Sign into your Amazon account.

      Search for the Kindle book you'd like to give as a gift and click on it.

    • 3

      Click on "Give as a gift" on the right side of the screen.

    • 4

      Enter the recipients email address in the appropriate box. You can add a personal note at this point if you choose to.

    • 5

      Click "Place your order."
