How Can I Read an Email in MIME Version 1.0?
MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) is a standard that allows email messages to contain text with unlimited line length. MIME also allows a character set other than ASCII, multi-font messages, multiple objects in a single message, images, and audio and videos with multimedia messages. Most of the email messages you read are in the MIME format. Some email programs can misinterpret the MIME email, and you will not be able to read it. You can edit the email so it will display properly through your email program.

1
Open your email program and open the MIME email you want to read. Highlight the text in the body of the email, right-click and select "Copy."
-
2
Click "Start," "Programs," "Accessories" and then click "Notepad." Right-click and select "Paste" to insert the email text you copied in the previous step into a Notepad document.

3
Highlight the text before the standard email header (where it displays "to" and "from"), right-click and select "Delete." Click "File" and then "Save." In the file name field, save the document and add the ".eml" extension to the email. For example, if you were going to name the document "test" you would put "test.eml" in the file name field. Once you have done this click the "Save" button, and save the document to your desktop or a place you can easily find it.

4
Double-click the file you just saved to open it. Your email program will automatically open the file as an email. The email will be in the regular format so you will be able to read it.
