How to Use a Vtiger CRM
The Vtiger suite of CRM applications gives businesses a free, open-source customer relations management system for use in sales automation, marketing, customer support and other areas of business. The suite has many different programs that interact and share data, each with their own specific interfaces and functions. Like other software suites, Vtiger has certain common elements used in each piece of software, allowing users to switch between modules with ease.

Open a Web browser and navigate to the URL of the Vtiger applications provided by the system's administrator, either on the local network or over the Internet. Vtiger runs completely in a Web browser, allowing users to connect from anywhere without installing additional software. It is compatible with most modern browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Chrome. The browser must have cookies and JavaScript enabled.

Enter your user name and password at the Vtiger login screen, then click "Sign In." Your login information is set by the network's administrator.

Click on "My Home Page" to access information specific to you. This is also the default page displayed after logging in. Click on "My Preferences" to manage what content will display on the home page. Drag and drop boxes to organize the home page's display. Some of the home page information may be set by the system administrator.
