How to Wire 2 Wire Turn Signals on a 2005 Honda Shadow Aero
The 2005 Honda Shadow Aero is a cruiser style motorcycle with a variety of engine options. The wires that power each turn signal lead to the toggle switch where the ground, positive and negative wires are. The two wires inside the turn signal are positive and negative. The positive wire is the black one with a white line running down the center and the negative wire is white or solid black.

- 10mm socket
- Ratchet
- Box wrench set
- Phillips screwdriver
- Plastic wire caps

Remove the bolt on the rear of the seat that secures the seat to the rear fender using the socket and ratchet. Pull the seat off the frame and set it aside.

Loosen the clamp nut on the negative battery cable using the corresponding box wrench. Pull the cable off the battery.

Loosen the turn signal bracket using a screwdriver. Pull the turn signal off the frame. Turn both plastic wire caps counterclockwise until they come off the wires. Pull the wire apart and set the stock turn signal aside.

Connect the positive and negative wires on the new turn signal to the corresponding wires. Place new wire caps onto the wires and turn the caps clockwise until the caps are tight. Place the turn signal onto the frame and tighten the bracket.

Replace the battery cable to the battery the opposite way that you removed it. Flip the turn signal's switch to ensure that the turn signal is working. Replace the seat on the frame and tighten the seat's securing nut until it is snug.
