How to Apply Rain X Gelcoat
Rain-X has several car cleaning and detailing products on the market. Although they do not have a product named "Rain X Gelcoat," they do have a gel product called "Rain-X Bug & Tar Pre-wash Gel." The product is a spray gel that helps lift bird droppings, tar, bugs and other difficult spots and stains prior to washing your car. No scrubbing, wiping or extra work is necessary, just spray the gel onto your car and wait for three to five minutes.

Spray a coat of Rain-X Bug & Tar Pre-wash Gel on any outer surfaces of your car prior to washing. Treat your entire car or spray areas that have heavy buildup of tar, bugs, bird droppings or other stains.

Leave the product on three to five minutes as stated in the instructions.

Rinse. Wash your car as normal. Bugs, tar and stains will be easier to clean.

Reapply before any car wash if your car has hard-to-clean tar, bird droppings or bugs. This product will help lift stains and spots before washing your car. It is safe to use on a regular basis.
