How Do I Run Two Rohan Online Accounts on One Computer?

Rohan Online is a world within the website Second Life. Users of Second Life can create their own areas or worlds in which their character, or avatar, lives. Some users prefer to have two or more characters active at once on the same computer. This allows them to have two characters active at the same time within the Second Life universe. However, this is only possible after modifying the game files in a particular way.

Things You'll Need

• Microsoft Windows
• Second Life client

Instructions

1. Right-click on the Second Life desktop icon and then click "Create Shortcut."

2. Right-click the newly created desktop icon and then click "Properties."

3. Click in the "Target" box and add "-multiple" to the end of the string, without the quotes. Click "OK."

4. Double-click either of the Second Life desktop icons.

5. Click "System Preferences" and then click "Accounts."

6. Click the "Lock" icon and then type your Second Life password when prompted.

7. Click the "Enable Fast User Switching" box under the "Log In Options" tab.

8. Click the "+" symbol to create as many new accounts as you need.

Tips & Warnings

• You must add the "-multiple" snippet to the end of the string and after the closing quotation mark.

• Having three or more Second Life clients open at once will slow down most computers significantly. The client uses a great deal of memory.
