1
Cover the set or room dividers with paint to complement or contrast with other décor in the room. If you have a neutral room, use shades of color that are more bold to draw the eye to the divider and allow it to stand out on its own as a decorative element.
-
2
Paint either side of the divider to complement both kitchen and living areas. If your kitchen has the same color palette as the living room, you can easily paint the entire divider the same color. If the color you paint the living room side doesn't match the kitchen, but complements it anyway, use the same color to save money and time.

Texturize a room by covering the set divider with your favorite fabric. Using fabric gives you the creative freedom to choose any pattern or colors you want to enhance the space. To cover the divider, cut enough fabric to cover the length of the panels--using two to three panels to cover the width of the divider, depending on the size.
-
4
Secure the fabric panels to the divider with small amounts of hot glue along the seams, and use a small roller to press the fabric into the hot glue.
-
5
Cover the dividers with wallpaper. Wallpaper, like fabric, gives you freedom to use any pattern or color you like to add to the décor of the room. Apply the wallpaper to the divider according to manufacture instructions on both sides for a complete look.
