How to Clean a Braun 8985

The Braun 8985 electric razor--also known as 360° Complete--comes with an automatic cleaning and drying station. After each shave, hair and skin cells can contaminate the razor and provide a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. The cleaning station automatically chooses the cleaning cycle based on the amount of debris present on the razor. The cartridges provide enough alcohol-based solution for 30 cleaning cycles for up to eight weeks. Braun recommends cleaning your 8985 razor after each use for best results.

• Cleaning solution cartridge

Instructions

1. Plug in the "Clean & Renew" station.

2. Press the button located on the back of the station to access the cartridge compartment.

3. Pull the tab on the cleaning cartridge lid and lift it off. Insert the cartridge into the base of the cleaning station with the lid facing up.

4. Press down on the top of the cleaning station until it locks in place.

5. Lift the foil cover off of the Braun 8985. Insert the shaver upside-down into the cleaning station, ensuring the contacts meet.

6. Rinse the foil cover with clean water, and set it aside to air dry.

7. Press the "Start Cleaning" button once the lights indicating the necessary cleaning cycle have lit up. The cleaning process is finished when the "Clean" light shines.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not remove the razor while the cleaning process is taking place.
