Your Sharper Image Weather Station provides you with a personalized five-day weather forecast sent to your unit wirelessly from your personal computer. Not only do you have access to the weather and temperatures, but you can see the wind speed, average humidity and chance of precipitation, giving you the opportunity to plan ahead for special upcoming events. When problems arise with your weather station, troubleshooting it can get your unit up and running again in no time.

Check to make certain you have the USB transmitter connected securely to the USB port on your computer if you have problems connecting to the Internet's five-day weather forecast update. The USB transmitter allows your weather station to receive forecasts from your computer wirelessly.

Reconnect your computer to the Internet if you see all of the weather forecast information except for the latest ultraviolet index. This usually means you did not have Internet access for ore than one day. The UV index provides you with a measure of how much harmful ultraviolet radiation happens to be reaching the Earth at a particular time and day. You will see the UV index range from 0 to 10, with zero meaning no UV risk for sunburn at midday, and 10 meaning maximum risk.

Restart the computer program containing the five-day weather forecast if you notice the program's toolbar icon disappear from the lower right side of your computer screen. This means the program ended, preventing you from getting the five-day forecast. The toolbar icon looks like a sun with rays.

Replace the batteries in the main unit of your weather station or in the USB transmitter when you see the low battery indicator appear on your weather station or USB transmitter, which looks like a battery with a slash through it. Insert four AA batteries into the main unit and two AAA batteries into the USB transmitter. Make certain you use the proper positive "+" and negative "-" polarities when aligning the batteries; otherwise you can damage the unit.

Reconnect your computer to the Internet to get the latest weather forecast if you notice you have missing forecasts for one or more of the next three days and the radio frequency indicator shows full strength. This happens when you have your computer disconnected from the Internet for a few days.
