Donating a car has never been more simple. Charities that accept cars have contracts with towing companies that are capable of picking up your unwanted car within days. If you live in Vancouver, Washington, you have several choices when it comes to donating your vehicle. You can support children's charities, animals, low-income families and even individuals suffering from an illness.

Call the Vehicle Donation Center at 877-227-7487, or use their online donation form to donate your car. Vehicle Donation Center picks cars up for free at all of the major cities in Washington, including Vancouver. Along with your basic car information, Vehicle Donation Center will need you to select which charity you want your car donation to benefit. There is a list of over 100 charities on the donation form. A representative can also help you choose a charity. You will need to sign over your car title once you have made an appointment for the tow-truck driver to pick up your car. Vehicle Donation Center will mail you a receipt for your tax deduction once it receives your car.

Support Furry Friends with your car donation if you love animals. Furry Friends is based in Brush Prairie, Washington, but it will pick up donated vehicles in Vancouver, Washington. Call 360-993-1097 or email nanmac@pacifier.com to arrange for a tow truck to come and get your unwanted car. You will need to sign your title over when the tow-truck driver arrives. If you want a receipt for your taxes, you will have to request one.

Contact Donate a Car USA by calling 800-269-6814 anytime. You can also use its online donation form. Donate a Car USA will contact a towing company to let it know you have a car in need of pickup. The towing company will then call you to arrange the pickup time. You need to sign your car title over at this time. If you need a tax-deduction receipt, Donate a Car USA will send you one.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure you provide the charity of your choice with as much information about your car as possible. This includes mileage, make, model, year, condition and whether the car has been involved in any accidents.
