A Remote Access Database Connection Tutorial
A Microsoft Access database is a small database solution for businesses to hold important data. If you have multiple Access databases, you can link them together and view the tables. You can also create queries to retrieve and edit the remote Access database information. You can link a database on your hard drive or one located on a network share.

Double-click the MDF file on your hard drive to open the Access database. Click the "External Data" tab in Access. Click the "Access" button to open a link wizard.

Click the "Browse" button in the first window to point to the location of the remote Access database. Select "Link To The Data Source By Created A Linked Table" and click "Next."

Click "Select All" to add all the remote database tables to your local database file. Click "OK." The wizard closes and a list of external tables are shown. Double-click one of the tables to view its content.
