Keep your big kid safe with a booster seat.

The NHSTA recommends that you use a booster seat on your child until he is at least eight years old or 4 feet 9 inches tall. A booster seat raises your child so that your vehicle's lap belt fits his properly, and can be used once your child outgrows his forward-facing car seat, or when he is at least 40 lbs. and 4 years old. The Graco Backless TurboBooster has height-adjustable armrests, a cushioned seat and two cupholders. You can install the Backless TurboBooster in any rear vehicle seat with a combination shoulder/lap belt.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the loop end of the included belt positioning strap around the vertical bar on the back of the booster seat. Make sure to attach it to the bar closest to the side where the vehicle belt will lay across the child's shoulder.

    • 2

Place the strap end of the belt positioner through the loop and pull the strap up to secure it on the booster seat.

    • 3

Place the TurboBooster firmly against the seatback of a rear seat in your vehicle, making sure the belt positioning strap stays accessible.

    • 4

Sit your child in the seat with his back against the seatback.

    • 5

Position the shoulder/lap belt across the child's chest and lap and buckle it. Slide the belt positioning clip onto the seatbelt and pull the loose part of the strap down to tighten the clip against the child's shoulder. Make sure the lap belt passes under the armrests.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your child is tall enough for the safety belt to lay correctly on his shoulder, then you do not need to attach the belt positioning strap.
