How to Score on Bejeweled
Bejeweled, one of today's most popular computer games, is a puzzle game that is easy to learn but difficult to master. The scoring system in Bejeweled is rather deep, offering the player a true challenge in regard to getting better at the game.

Select a gem by clicking on it (or touching it if you are using a mobile device). The gem will appear highlighted and can be swapped with another adjacent gem, so long as it is the same shape, simply by clicking on the icon you wish to swap with. Note that each gem must be either vertically or horizontally oriented with one another; otherwise, the swap will not work.

Attempt to match up more than three gems at once. While the minimum amount of gems that can create a pattern is three, it is possible to combine more than three gems at once in order to get a higher score. Playing around with different gem combinations will help you to learn how to read the game board, which will result in finding multi-gem combos.

Trigger a cascade by hitting a combo that will cause a second combination of gems to be formed and cleared. By lining up potential combos toward the top of the board and clearing out gems on the bottom, you can increase your chances of creating cascade. While clearing large combos is a great way to increase your score, the bulk of the scoring in Bejeweled relies on cascades.
