How to Fix a Wireless Disconnection With Bitcomet
Bit torrent is a technology for high-speed peer-to-peer data transfer in which large files are broken up into smaller pieces and each piece is downloaded from a different person. Bit torrent clients such as Museeq, Azureus and Bitcomet are used to download files that are broken into torrents. Bit torrents are commonly used for the illegal downloading of copyrighted materials such as movies, music and software. However, there are many legal applications for bit torrent as well. If you use a wireless Internet connection at home and are experiencing frequent disconnects when trying to download a torrent, you can troubleshoot the issue using a few basic steps.

1
Reset your wireless network by unplugging the power cords of both your modem and your wireless router for a full 30 seconds. If you use a wireless modem, simply unplug its power cord. Plug all power cords back in and allow the network to reboot. Again try to download the torrent to check if the connection stays more consistent.

2
Unplug the Ethernet cable that attaches your modem to your router and plug it directly into the computer's Ethernet port. If you use a wireless modem, simply plug an Ethernet cable from one of its Ethernet ports into your computer's Ethernet port. Reset the network again in the manner described in Step 1. If your bit torrent download stays more consistent, the problem may lie with either your wireless router or your computer's wireless network card. If the connection is still intermittent while directly connected via Ethernet cable, some further troubleshooting is required.

3
Download and install an alternate bit torrent client such as Museeq or Azureus and attempt to download the same torrent. If the connection stays more consistent, a software issue with Bitcomet was causing the problem and you can either reinstall Bitcomet or continue to use the alternate download client in its place. If not, the problem may be with your Internet service generally, and you will need to report an intermittent connection to your Internet service provider's technical support department.
