Installation Instructions for Falcon Foam Board
Foam insulation is a common choice for exterior home insulation, but many foam board products are created using ozone-depleting chemicals. Falcon foam board is made from expanded polystyrene (EPS) without ozone-depleting CFCs or HCFCs and is 100 percent recyclable, making it a more environmentally friendly insulation choice. Falcon foam board comes in standard sizes and can be cut to size, so it does not require expert installation. With the right tools and techniques, you can install Falcon foam board in a few steps. Place a sheet of Falcon foam board against the frame of an exterior wall.

Hammer framing nails through the surface of the sheet into the studs of the exterior wall. The nails should be placed approximately 12 inches from one another. Continue this process until the surface of the wall is covered with uncut sheets.

With a tape measure, find the dimensions of any spaces left and mark the measurements on sheets of Falcon foam board.

Cut the shapes from the Falcon foam board by scoring one side with a utility knife, bending the board and cutting the opposite side.

Hold the shapes in position against the frame of the exterior wall and hammer them into place with framing nails.

Tips & Warnings
Falcon foam board can be damaged by moisture. Install a vapor barrier as soon as the installation of the Falcon foam board is complete. Replace any sheets that become moist during the installation process.
