The PC Angel recovery partition is included on many Gateway computers. It typically holds important backups of data and software to aid in system recovery. Partition sizes range from 3 to 10 gigabytes. The PC Angel System Recovery tool can be accessed only at boot time. It provides three restoration options to the user: Non-Destructive System Restore, Full System Restore and Full System Restore (with Backup). Between these options, it is easy to recover any corrupt or damaged installation of Microsoft Windows on a Gateway PC.

Instructions

    • 1

Reboot your Windows computer by either pressing the hard reset button or clicking "Restart" from the system's "Start" menu.

    • 2

Press "F11" when prompted to start the restore process. You will have only three seconds to press this key before Microsoft Windows starts, so, if you see the Microsoft logo, press the hard reset button and try again.

    • 3

Click one of the three system restore options to run the automated restoration. Unless you have a specific reason to choose otherwise, the Non-Destructive System Restore is the recommended solution.
