Whether you make the whole item from scratch or simply edit an existing piece to be unique to you, making glass jewelry is much simpler then it seems, and making holes is the most important part to get right.

1
Glue the plastic foam onto the small block of wood; be sure to use waterproof glue. Allow to dry.

-
-
3
Place the wood into the container.
-
4
Fill the container with water until the glass is submerged.
-
5
Turn on your drill. Ideally, it should be spinning at 20,000 or 30,000rpm.
-
6
Hold the tip of the drill so it is perpendicular to the glass.
-
7
Hold the drill to the glass, allowing it to cut at its own speed. It may take a few seconds for the drill to break through the glass.
-
8
Turn off the drill when it drills through the glass and into the support.
-
9
Inspect the glass and wash off any glass fragments.
