1
Sell your bed. Beds are expensive and thus many people purchase their beds used. Popular places to advertise your bed include Craigslist and local newspapers. If you will be unable to help carry the bed to the customers vehicle, be sure to mention this in your advertisement.

2
Donate your bed to charity. There are two main advantages to donating a bed. First, you help a needy family. Second, you get a tax write off for donating to certain charities (so be sure to get a receipt). Contact the National Furniture Bank Association to find a charity near you. Many charities will even come pick the bed up from your house.

Give your bed away. Perhaps your bed is in such bad shape that charities won't even take it. Consider posting an ad in the newspaper or on the Internet for a free bed. You may also want to hang fliers at the local art school. If the bed is in disrepair, it may have parts that can be used for art projects.

Take your bed to the town dump. It seems like a waste, but if all else fails you can load your bed into your vehicle and deposit it at the dump.
