How to Update DeLorme Products
DeLorme offers a variety of mapping tools and data collection software for owners of hand-held GPS devices. These applications allow users to perform land surveying, collect information about natural resources, and perform search and rescue operations. On occasion, DeLorme may release an update for your product that enhances its features or corrects issues. These updates can be downloaded directly from the DeLorme website, then applied with a brief installation process.

Go to the DeLorme website, and click on the "Technical Support" button on the left side of the page. In the "Search the Knowledgebase" box, type "update," and click "Search." All available updates for all DeLorme products are shown.

Click on the update you want to download. If the update is for software on the computer, save the file to the computer, then double click it when the download finishes. The update automatically applies to the software.

Press the "Menu" button on your GPS, if the update is for a GPS product. Choose "Device Setup," then "Connect to Computer...". Select the "USB Setting" drop-down menu, and choose "Firmware Transfer."

Connect the GPS to the computer with its included USB cable. Double click on the update you downloaded. When asked for an extraction location, choose the name of your GPS from the list that appears.

Press "Enter" on the GPS, and the update installs. When this is complete, disconnect the GPS from the computer.
