How to Get a Net Domain
To get a .net domain you must choose an online company that provides domain name purchase plans. Net is an extension at the end of a domain name, known as a top level domain. A .net domain usually costs the same as a ".com" extension but can sometimes be cheaper. Many people rely on .net domains when the domain name they've chosen is already taken with the ".com" extension. Once you've chosen a company to purchase your domain from, the process to get one is quite simple.

1
Find a company that you can purchase a .net domain from, such as GoDaddy.com or Domain.com. Most domain name registrars come with hosting services in monthly or yearly packages. Choose a registrar that has the features you desire.
-
2
Type in your desired domain title and choose the ".net" extension. It is wise to have a few names in mind for your domain in case the first one you choose is not available.

3
Submit all of the information needed by the registrar to register your new .net domain. The registrar will take you through routine steps where you will have to fill out information. You will need a PayPal account or credit card to finalize your domain name purchase.
-
4
Store all of your account information in a safe place. Become familiar with all of the features on your account's control panel such as the domain name servers and your account renewal dates. If you fail to renew your domain name when the payment is due, you risk losing it.
