You can rent a camper from the 42d Force Support Squadron on Maxwell AFB.

One of the benefits the military offers to its members and their dependents is the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Program. The MWR Program includes fitness centers, movie theaters, parks, museums, travel and lodging. Services are available at deeply discounted prices, or even free. MWR offers reduced-price rentals on sporting and camping equipment, including small goods such as tents and golf clubs, to larger items such as RVs, boats and trailers. Almost all U.S. military installations worldwide offer these services. In the Air Force, the Air Force Services Agency administers all MWR Programs and the Base Force Support Squadron oversees local operations.

Instructions

Determine what size camper you need. This will be based on your family size and the lengthy of time you will be camping. Maxwell's MWR Program has campers of all sizes for use by military members and dependents.

Determine the dates that you will need the camper. Maxwell AFB's 42d Force Support Squadron offers nightly rentals or long-term rentals. You may use the campers at the on-base campground or at an off-base location of your choosing.

Tips & Warnings
