How to Use Avery Labels
Avery mailing labels are made by Avery Dennison Corp., a 75-year-old Fortune 500 company based in Pasadena, California. More than half of the company's business comes from adhesive label materials, which are used widely in offices because of a wide variety of online templates that make it quite simple to print out large numbers of labels at a time. The templates can be downloaded and opened in a word processing program such as Microsoft Word or design programs like Adobe Photoshop.

1
Find the template number for your Avery labels. This is usually a five-digit code printed on the cover of the Avery label package, in the lower left side.
-
2
Go to the Avery website and download the correct template for your product. You can usually download the template by right-clicking on the link and saving the file to a location on your computer.

3
Open the file and begin typing addresses. When you're finished typing, be sure to put your Avery labels in the printer. If you're unsure of the correct side to use, mark the top blank sheet of plain printer paper with a pen and run a test page to see which side goes up.
-
4
Print your labels. Most Avery labels are designed to be self-adhering, so you can peel them from the sheet and put them where they're needed.
