Prosat is a free-to-air satellite receiver system.

The Prosat P-7000S is a free-to-air satellite receiver. This receiver allows you to receive unscrambled television station signals in a manner similar to television antennas (although you do pick up a wider range of signals). In order to receive the latest station signals, you must correctly program the Prosat hardware. This is done by uploading TA files to the receiver in order to view the television content. If you don't, the receiver is not able to display the different broadcast signals.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Internet browser on the computer, then navigate to the Prosat satellite receiver's website. There are different websites for this receiver, so go to the site given to you by the company that sold you the hardware.

    • 2

Select the "P-7000S" as the model type. The available FTA files are displayed here. Click the download link to download the files to your computer.

    • 3

Plug a USB thumb drive into any USB port on the computer, then click "Start," "Computer" and double-click the USB icon. When the window loads, click and drag the FTA files into the open window.

    • 4

Disconnect the USB thumb drive and plug it into the powered-down Prosat P-7000S satellite receiver's USB drive (located on the back of the device). Turn on the equipment, and the FTA files upload to the receiver.

Remove the USB thumb drive from the receiver once prompted, then restart the Prosat device. Once it turns on again, the receiver is programmed and ready for use.
