Instructions

    • 1

Open the hood of the Cavalier. Pull the lever on the floor between the door and the driver's seat. Slide your finger under the center of the front end. Locate the hood lever. Pull it and lift the hood.

    • 2

Remove the plastic covering on the front of the car; this is called the rivet. Pull up on the rivet and remove it. You will now be able to see the area where the headlights are located.

    • 3

Unscrew the two bolts holding the headlight in place and pull out the headlight. There is a bulb on each side of the headlight. The one on the inside is the high beam; the one on the outside is the low beam.

    • 4

Unclip the electric wire from the bulb that needs to be replaced. Gently twist it (being careful not to break the glass) and pull it out. Twist the new bulb into its place and reclip the bulb.

    • 5

Place the headlight back into its original place and replace the two screws. Push the rivet back into place and close the hood of the Cavalier. You have now replaced your headlight.
