How to Impress a Classmate

How to Impress a Classmate thumbnail
Develop attractive qualities to impress a classmate.

Maybe there is a person in your classroom that you want to get to know better, but find her challenging to approach. Because approaching her directly may result in an awkward situation, an alternative solution is to try and impress her. Instead of thinking about the idea that you need to impress someone, which can be emotionally and mentally draining, take the time and effort to develop attractive qualities that will naturally impress your classmates. Doing this will increase the likelihood that the person you are trying to impress will approach you.

Accept who you are. Whether you feel like you are too fat, too skinny, too short or too tall, accept yourself the way you are. Don't try to be someone you are not because this will not impress others. By liking yourself and accepting who you are, you will feel more confident, have healthier self-esteem and portray a positive body image. Have a positive, optimistic attitude and feel good about yourself, despite your flaws. Classmates, especially those who have their own insecurities, will see how confident a person you are through your actions, not by how you look; and this quality will naturally be attractive and impressive.

Show off your intelligence. You're in school already, and the classroom environment is a good place to show other people your diligence. Do not try to show off your intelligence for the sake of trying to look smart, as it will only make you look foolish. Instead, be studious, take notes, do your homework, study at home and listen to the teacher. Prepare for class every day and be patient in class. The time will come when the teacher asks a question, and you will have the opportunity to answer it in a casual way that will surprise your classmates.

Act with kindness. In a world full of people who have bad attitudes, acting with kindness will make you stand out. Be polite to your classmates. Offer them help with questions they are having difficulty with. Share with them tips that can help them improve their grades in class. Open the door for them. Finally, remember to smile. Your acts of kindness will not only be impressive, but could very well turn you from a classmate into a friend.
