How to Create a Help Desk Certification Certificate
When students have successfully completed a program, a great way to celebrate the achievement of the class is to give documents of certification. Having certificates printed at a print shop can be expensive, but using desktop publishing tools allows you to create certificates with your computer and print them at a fraction of the cost on your own printer. Creating and printing your certificates is easy to do and will save you time and money. You can also create them to have a professional look and feel -- as if they were outsourced to be printed.

How to Create a Help Desk Certification Certificate
-
1
Use a Microsoft Publisher certificate template to create your certificate. When you open Publisher, click on "award certificates" and browse the template options. To see more, click on "online certificates" and the Microsoft Office window will open up. If you do not have Publisher on your computer, you can go online and use a free certificate website such as Certificate Creator, Certificate Street and Certificate Maker. Each site has numerous templates of different categories to select from. Choose a template that closely resembles what you want, fill in your information and print.

2
Be creative when creating your certificate. Modify the text of the template for the names of the people receiving and presenting the award. Edit the title, the type of award and date. Give a detailed reason for the recognition. Leave off the name of the people who will be presenting the award to let them sign their name for a more official look. Do not add a background color if you are printing on certificate paper. It will look like it was created by an amateur. If you plan to add a background color, print your certificate on bright white paper so it will stand out.

You can also add decorative elements to a certificate. Try a different color for the graphical components and the text on the award. Add your organization's logo to the certificate and if there is a generic seal on the certificate template, you may want to replace it with your organization's seal. Consider adding related clip art framing the recipient's name, or around the title. Mirror the images for a balanced look.

4
Print the certificate on a special paper designed for certificates such as parchment paper. You will be amazed how professional the certificate looks and feels, after it is printed. Buy the paper at your local office supply store -- and buy some extras in case of printing errors. While acknowledging an achievement with an award is nice, it is the quality of the paper that will make it stand out to the recipient. Save your award as a template so you can use it over again -- for the next group of graduates.
