How to Add Subscribed Feeds to Gadgets
You can subscribe to an RSS feed if you want to be alerted each time a website has updated information or news. You can use Windows' built-in Gadgets to create a feed gadget for your computer's desktop. To do this, you must first subscribe to the feed using Internet Explorer. Then you have the option to create a feed list from your subscribed feeds.

Add a Feed in Internet Explorer

Navigate to the website with the feed you would like to subscribe to using Internet Explorer.

Click the orange-and-white RSS button that appears on your Internet Explorer toolbar. This will take you to the website's RSS feed.

Click the "Favorites" button and navigate to the "Feeds" tab.

Click "Subscribe to This Feed" to add it to your Internet Explorer feed list.
Create RSS Feed Gadget

Right-click your desktop and choose "Gadgets" from the drop-down menu.

Double-click "Feed Headlines" from the Gadgets window.

Click the wrench icon to open the gadget's options.

Select the RSS feed that you would like to display on your gadget. It will allow you to choose from all feeds that you are subscribed to with Internet Explorer.
