How to Clean Your Braun 5000 Type 5733

The Braun 5733 shaver series consists of several rechargeable cordless shavers. Although each shaver in the series has slightly different features, you can follow the same procedures to disassemble and clean each of the shaver units. Keep your Braun 5733 shaver clean between uses to protect the blades and ensure a close, clean shave without irritating your skin.

Instructions

1. Disconnect the power cord from your Braun 5733 series electric shaver to operate it in cordless mode. Pull the cord straight back out of the power jack on the shaver unit.

2. Remove any cutting shield or cover on the top of the shaver unit. Turn on the shaver and hold it under hot running water for a few seconds. If needed, use a natural, abrasive-free soap on the shaver head. Turn off the shaver to apply liquid soap directly to the head or lather bar soap on your hands and spread it on the head by hand. Rinse the soap completely away and then hold the shaver head under the hot running water for an additional 30 seconds for a thorough rinse.

3. Pull the shaver foil and cutting block off the top of the shaver unit. Set the foil, block and shaver unit on a clean, dry towel and let them air dry completely before reassembling the shaver.
