How to Remove Hard Water Spots From a Window

Remove hard water spots from windows with vinegar.

Hard water spots commonly form on your windows after a rain shower, or when the garden hose or sprinkler system splashes water onto your windows. These cloudy hard water spots are difficult to remove and deteriorate the overall appearance of the windows. Removing the spots requires a little work and an inexpensive item you most likely already have in the kitchen.

Things You'll Need

• White vinegar
• Paper towels

Instructions

1. Soak a paper towel in white vinegar.

2. Rub the paper towel over the hard water spots, scrubbing until you remove all of the hard water residue. The vinegar quickly cuts through the alkaline base of the spots, removing them almost immediately.

3. Let the windows air dry. The vinegar dries free of streaks or residue.
