How to Debug a Xerox Scanner Connection

Fix your USB connection with the Windows File Checker.

A Xerox scanner is used to scan images into a computer. Xerox scanners are used through a USB connection. If you have missing or corrupted files on your computer, the USB connection might be the problem. You can use the Windows File Checker on your computer to replace these missing files and get your Xerox scanner working again.

Instructions

1. Click the "Start" button and then click the "All Programs" option.

2. Click on the "Accessories" button and then right click on the "Command Prompt" icon.

3. Click on the "Run as administrator" icon and enter your administrator password into the field that appears.

4. Type "sfc /scannow" into the command prompt and press the "Enter" button.

5. Plug your Xerox scanner into the computer's USB port, Make sure the connection is secure.
