How to Work PostCast Server

Some ISPs (Internet Service Providers) may place restrictions on their SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) servers. The server restrictions may cut down on spam and bulk e-mailing, but may also prevent users from sending out legitimate emails. But with the help of the PostCast server, you can bypass your ISP's SMTP server and send your e-mail out through PostCast's SMTP server instead.

Instructions

    • 1

Download a copy of the PostCast server installation file. Unzip the file from its ZIP container: right-click on the file and select the "Extract All" option from the pop-up menu that appears. Install PostCast.

    • 2

Launch the PostCast utility from your computer's desktop.

    • 3

Launch your e-mail client, such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird. Click on the "Tools" or "Options" heading and select the "Accounts" option from the drop-down menu that appears below the heading.

    • 4

Select the account you'd like to work with in the Accounts menu. Click on the "Server" option, or the "Outgoing Server(SMTP)" in Thunderbird.

    • 5
