How to Use Panko Crumbs
Panko crumbs can easily be substituted for homemade bread crumbs in recipes. The texture of panko crumbs is similar. The crumbs can be used to coat meat or in a salad to add a crunchy texture. - Mixing bowl
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- Resealable plastic bag
- Fish
- Tomato
- Cucumber
- Green pepper
- Avocado
- Head of lettuce
- 1 boiled egg
- Blue cheese
- Salad dressing
- Chicken breast
- Meat tenderizer
- Swiss cheese
- Ham slice
- Flat plate
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- Loaf pan
- Tomato soup

Break and beat an egg into a small bowl. Mix in 1 cup of milk. Pour 3 cups of panko crumbs into a plastic resealable bag. Dip the fish into the liquid mixture and then place it in the plastic bag. Shake it to coat the fish. Remove and fry the fish, then serve.

Dice tomato, cucumber, green pepper and avocado. Slice one head of lettuce and half of a boiled egg. Crumble 1 cup of the blue cheese. Put all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle 1 cup of panko crumbs over the vegetables. Top with the salad dressing of your choice.

To make chicken cordon bleu, pound the chicken breast until flat. Add one slice of Swiss cheese and ham on top. Fold the chicken in half. Put 2 cups of panko crumbs on a flat plate. Dip the folded chicken breast into the crumbs, and coat both sides. Cook the meat in the oven.

To make meat loaf, measure 2 lbs. of lean ground beef into a mixing bowl. Measure in 1 cup of panko crumbs. Add one diced onion and the spices and seasonings of your choice. Mix well and put the meat into a loaf pan. Bake in the oven.

Microwave tomato soup for 1 ½ minutes. Toss in a handful of panko crumbs to substitute for oyster crackers.
